Things to Consider if You’re Looking for Burial Insurance with Aetna

** Aetna is the best option for 86 year old and older people wanting to start a final expense plan.

If you are between 86 and 89 and want burial or final expense insurance, Aetna Life Insurance is the best option. This is because most life insurance companies require you to get a policy started before the age of 85 to be covered for your whole life. Aetna is one of a few life insurance companies that will allow someone over the age of 85 to apply for a policy.

** Aetna is a good option for someone who is too short for their weight. 😉

Some insurance companies have height and weight chart that is used to determine if you pay more, however, Aetna’s Accendo product for final expenses does not.

** Aetna is also a good option if you had a heart attack or circulatory surgery 12-24 months ago.

If you had a heart attack or heart procedure less than 24 months ago, a lot of insurance companies will decline you or have a waiting period before full coverage kicks in. However, if you’ve had a heart attack, or circulatory surgery over 12 months ago, but less than 24 months ago, Aetna will likely be your best option because you can get some immediate protection during the first two years, and they usually have the best rates for this type of scenario.

The way Aetna’s graded final expense plan works is, if you die in the first year of having this policy, your beneficiary will get 40% of the death benefit amount. And if you die in the second year of this policy, your beneficiary will get 75% of the death benefit amount. After that time, if death occurs, your beneficiary will get 100% of the death benefit amount.

Caveat – Please note that if you have other health conditions, this plan may not be your best option. If you’re interested in learning more about any of the above Aetna insurance options or would like an insurance quotelet us know.
